Diving and Snorkeling at Bunaken



Bunaken is a National Preservation located near Ambon, Maluku, the archipelago that hides mystery of under water world. Many tourists have been visited Bunaken for years ago. The beauty of under water world is the magnet for them to make tours to Bunaken and the surrounding islands. Bunaken is not the only under water park in Maluku that can be visited. There are several places that we can visit.

The living corals, seaweed and species of fishes that are the Bunaken inhabitant may be observed from the boat as the water is very clean and transparent. It has 13 genera of living corals that decorate the sea of Bunaken. When we are diving into the water we can observe the inimitable of the corals. To accompany the living corals it has also 91 species of fishes such as kuda gusumi fish (Hippocampus kuda), white oci (Seriola rivoliana), yellow tailed lolosi (Lutjanus kasmira), goropa (Ephinephelus spilotoceps and Pseudanthias hypselosoma), ila gasi (Scolopsis bilineatus), etc. The amazing color of the fishes will refresh our mind.

The thing that we have to do when visiting Bunaken is diving and snorkeling. The diving and snorkeling equipments are prepared by the management to satisfy visitors. Marina Nusantara Diving Center provides the diving and snorkeling equipment and guides. It is not dangerous to dive and snorkel at the water because we may chose the shallow water zone. Actually, we can observe the under water from the boat as the boat is specially made for that purpose.

To get to Bunaken from Jakarta, the travelers may go to Ambon by plane. Many flight companies make scheduled flight to Ambon. From the airport, the travelers get to Ambon harbor, Marina Nusantara diving Center or Marina Blue Banter where they take boat from.
